Preston's favorite book is Baby Bear, Baby Bear (and Brown Bear, Brown Bear). Sometimes he confuses the two, but the boy goes to town reading (cough-reciting-cough) them!
In this video, you can see he doesn't like having a runny nose!
<These videos were taken about month ago- mom of the year is just getting around to posting them>
Memorial weekend, our favorite Emerson's came over, and we celebrated with two days poolside Emerson-style. That is blow up pool, water table, water toys, Texas country music, swim suits, popsicles, and two cute, blonde haired, blued eyed kiddos!
I woke up to this beautiful boy VERY eager to tell me "Happy Modder's Day!" After handing my his artwork, he excitedly told me Happy Mother's Day several times.
In fact, he was so excited about it all, every time he would color a picture within the next week or so, he would hand it to someone and say "Happy Modder's Day, ____!" He told his daddy several times, "Happy Modder's Day, Daddy."
I'm guessing that means he didn't get the concept quite yet. I'm also guessing that just means I will get a "Happy Father's Day, Mommy!" AND that - I am very much looking forward to :)
Preston's actual birthday (April 23rd) fell on a Monday this year! Unfortunately that was a work/school day for all of us, but that didn't stop us from making the best of it- though we celebrated the entire weekend prior!
Monday morning, we had a sweet photo session with our big boy before school! New preschool back pack and all (special thanks to Aunt Candace for that... and PotteryBarn Kids)! Because Preston is beyond a routined child, he insisted on having his blue berries and cheerios in the picture. He literally takes a baggie of both EVERY day to school. And don't ever think of forgetting it because he will remind you:) These pictures really make him look like a big boy and not my baby anymore! It's bittersweet. I miss my sweet baby, but I LOVE the age he is now:)
Horrible picture of me, but I had to get one with my TWO year old!
I was able to take cupcakes (or pancakes as Preston calls them) to school to celebrate there!
That evening, we blew out candles and sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY yet again! He had the whole thing down by this point!
Finally, we ended the evening with our routine bath time and listening to Preston sing to himself!
Oh my... I know I'm super behind on this and just about everything since mid-April, but late is better than never... right?
Baa, quack, oink, moo
Preston Robert turned TWO!
On the Saturday before Preston's actual birthday, we celebrated with family and friends petting zoo style! Preston had a great time. We could not have asked for a more perfect party for our perfect (well, most of the time) boy!
For all of the super cute decorations/ invitations that were beautifully done without all of the stress of me being a working mama and making everything!
