Preston got to experience his first high school football game. Mansfield ISD has an absolutely, ridiculously huge football stadium about a mile from our house. We decided that Preston would probably LOVE to see all of the action of a football game (and we all know my husband loves football of any kind), so we loaded up the family, and watched an entire half of the game (I am using the term watched very loosely here).
When we got there, we sat basically on the first row, and the players, coaches, etc were right in front of us. Preston loved being right in the action. After about 10 minutes, a friend from work came and got us and dragged us up to the top of the stadium. Preston had a great time with all of the action, the band, the people, the food. It was SO neat to watch him in this whole new environment. We planned to only stay for one quarter, but we actually made it through an entire half. I knew it was time to go when the band was playing loudly and Preston was clapping, yawning, and rubbing his eyes all at the same time.
So here's to our future football star soaking in all of the Friday Night Lights!
